Abstract :
This paper proposes the use of muPSO for solving high dimensional optimization problems. As the majority of the computational cost for solving optimization problems is spent on evaluating the fitness of potential solutions, which are dominated by the population size, the small population size of the proposed muPSO can reduce this cost significantly while providing an excellent optimization performance. The simulations results have confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed muPSO
