Abstract :
In this paper, we focus on the bandwidth allocation and reallocation scheme which uses multimode wireless access networks to guarantee the QoS of streaming services. The utility function for streaming service is proposed, which characterizes the rate adaptation and handoff delay in heterogeneous network scenario. The utility function for network provider takes into account the number of serving end users, which aims to maximize the revenue of providers. For a scalable solution about resources management in HAN, a game theory based rate control and network selection scheme(RCNS) is proposed, which is in accordance with cognition cycle. Network load estimation and prediction algorithm based on Kalman filter is introduced into bandwidth allocation game to control the overhead created by the game.
