Abstract
In this paper, the theoretical investigation of the fluctuation reduction of the laser radiation intensity and experimental results on optical limiting are presented for fundamental and second harmonic wavelengths of picosecond Nd:YAG laser due to two- and three-photon absorptions in BGO photorefractive crystal. The Z-scan technique with an open aperture was used for the determination of two- and three-photon absorption coefficients
