Abstract :
The Gigahertz TEM (GTEM) cell has seen wide use in the world, especially as a continuous wave emissions and immunity test device. We explore the ability of the GTEM 1750 to be used as a pulse immunity test facility. Three dimensional EM calculations and measurements are provided for a fast rising pulse to examine the behavior of propagating fields in the test volume in terms of the pulse rise and width times, the peak field values and the TEM characteristics
