Abstract :
This paper presents a novel dual-band dual-polarized Ka-Ku array realized interleaving I-SAP elements and circular waveguides. The presented results show that the proposed configuration can be a valid solution for realizing low cost dual-band planar arrays. In fact, the whole structure can be realized employing multilayer PBC technology and realizing the circular waveguides as dielectric filled metallized vias. Further work is necessary to optimize the array element bandwidth and compare the full wave simulations with experimental results
