  • Abstract
    To improve the selectivity of the gas sensor, a practical testing system for testing sensor array and discriminating gases in real-time has been developed. Based on the analysis of the temperature dependence characteristic of the semiconductor sensitive material electric conductivity, the hardware control circuit and the software design method of the testing system were discussed in details. According to the characteristic of the semiconductor gas sensor, this system provides two operating modes of the sensor array: static mode and dynamic mode. The different testing methods make this system obtain some essential characteristics that the general methods can not obtain. This indicated that the system was a practical and flexible system to testing gas sensor array. In a word, this system has provided a practical and convenient platform for testing the semiconductor gas sensor array. We can get more information of the gas sensors by using this system, such as the dynamic response process of the gas sensors and how to improve the selectivity of gas sensors to different gases.
