Abstract
This paper proposes an X-band microstrip antenna array with a three-layer fabrication and compact size. Resonance at two frequencies is taken to enhance the bandwidth, while being excited with opposite feed locations and 180deg phase difference is used to suppress the cross-polarization. Excellent performances, such as wide band, low cross-polarization level and the compact size, are obtained in our design. The array we developed is modular, so that it can be easily scaled up to larger aperture sizes
