Abstract :
Dipole antenna is a sort of familiar antennas; it is a useful antenna because of its simple structure and Omni-directional radiation. Modern communications equipment is getting smaller and smaller, the requirement of developing small scale dipole antenna is increasingly urgent. In this paper, a small scale dipole antenna - echelon shaped dipole antenna (Be brief: the GONG dipole antenna) is designed according to the antenna inductance circuit model and some ideas of folded antenna. Some design parameters are analysed, the results show that in the same electric characteristics condition, the GONG dipole antenna is simple in structure and make a greatly reduced scale in apparent size; it is an excellent small antenna.
