Abstract :
Assessing EMC is essential for an indigenously developed airborne vehicle which will be operated in a complex scenario. Controlling the conducted and radiated emissions in a vehicle containing complicated system/subsystems operating with high currents and with different types of loads is not an easy task. The systems/subsystems which are energised by power systems containing DC/DC power converters will become the main primary sources of EMI. With proper assessment, probing and hardening, these conducted and radiated emissions can be controlled easily, even in a complicated system. In this paper, the authors express their views and show the various types of practical examples of controlled conducted and radiated EMI problems
