  • Abstract
As a new medical technique, the family medical monitoring system is being paid more and more attention to. In this paper, we propose a design and implementation method of the family medical monitoring system based on embedded uC/OS-II and General Packet Radio Service (GPRS). The family medical monitoring system implements the acquisition of the physiological parameters such as blood pressure(BP), blood oxygen(SpO2), respiration, electrocardiogram(ECG) etc, and sends the real time data to the mobile phone or workstation of the doctors through the GPRS network. This paper also describes the whole system including the data acquisition modules of physiological parameters, GPRS module and the uC/OS-II operating system. Experiments show that the family medical monitoring system performs satisfactorily and has good prospects for practical application in the future.
