Abstract
Recent studies and investigations revealed that the effect of non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation on the human body may not be restricted to thermal effects only but it may help to explain some of the unsolved important biological activities to closely examine whether continuous or occupational exposure to electromagnetic radiation causes or aggravates any adverse health conditions, directly or indirectly. This paper gives an overview of some such investigations on the biological evidence of the effect of the non-ionizing radiation and also presents a discussion on various existing radiation protection standards
