Abstract :
The Land Tactical Satellite Communications Centre at DRA Defford, Worcestershire is involved with many satellite communications projects. Amongst these is one that comes under the heading of the Communications-On-the-Move (COM) project. The paper outlines the COM vehicle hardware and terminal design, paying particular attention to the mobile vehicle´s modem, antenna and antenna control system. The paper can be used as a reference for the design and build of similar terminals
