Abstract
DICOM images are widely used in the medical imaging field and hence it is important to be studied deeply, especially the issue of data security. With the development of chaos theory, several encryption algorithms have been developed that use this fundamental theory. One of these encryption methods is Logistic Mapping. If however, the parameters of a simple Logistic Mapping are set to unreasonable values, encryption cannot be completed. For this reason, in this paper a new method for medical image encryption is put forward which is based on a composition of Logistic Maps and Chebyshev Maps to improve the encryption performance.
