            Abstract : 
This paper deals with the challenge of extending classical image retrieval by including visual rules. The visual rules are extracted automatically from classes of images. They contribute to making the retrieval process more accurate. The visual-rules extraction is based on symbolic representations of image descriptors. The symbolic representations are the results of color and texture clustering
