Abstract
Global change affects the natural and living system in various ways. LUCC is becoming the earth system new research hot spot issue. This article uses the remote sensing land cover data of two periods, to study LUCC in the IGBP/GCTE terrestrial transects located at high latitude region. But climatic change´s result feeds back to the natural system, and then affects the land cover through environment. This article predicted the land cover change that may happen in the transect regions in high latitude by Markov model. Take the map data in 1992 and in 2006 as the staring and end condition, then forecast the count of each land use cover in 2020. We found that the area of urban land and bare ground increased. We analyzed the reasons about the climate and the biogeochemistry cycle dynamics in which response to the affects of the land utilization and the land cover change.
