Abstract
In this paper, a novel planar composite right- and left-handed transmission line (CRLH-TL) of grounded rectangular patch with meander line and its equivalent circuit are proposed. The dispersion relations are analytically derived using the equivalent circuit and Bloch-Floquet theory. The measured results have good agreements with those of simulation and theory. The fractional bandwidth for left-handed region is measured to be 74 percent from 0.65 GHz to 1.42 GHz
