Abstract :
Diagnosis and treatment plan designed with ideal curve of dental arch is a very important part in both orthodontics and implantology, which are based on the oral cavity characteristics and medical image. In this paper we present how to define main plane of dental arch curve, and extract centerline of dental arch and compare the real central line with targeted line that set by doctor and based on Cardinal curve. All the process should combine with specific diagnosis and treatment plan and be base on 3D visualization of medical image. The result in this paper which reflects method of diagnosis and treatment plan designation is feasible and practical.
