Abstract

The work being conducted within the TABA Project is described. The project is concerned with the construction of a heuristic workstation able to create an environment tailored to meet specific demands of various software development projects. During the first phase, a series of studies was performed which resulted in the development of tools to help in the construction and evaluation of software quality, and an EDSS to help in the specification of SDEs (software development environments), was prototyped. The second phase of the project involves the development of the TABA workstation in a Sun environment from the results obtained in the first phase and from a series of modules that have been developed: an object management system, a hypermedia management system, and the management of man-machine communication. The prototype constructed in the first phase is undergoing improvements to its knowledge base and is also being implemented in a Sun environment
