Abstract :
This article focuses on spatial and temporal distribution and statistic method of crime point pattern. It based on the data from one city of Jiangsu province, China, during Nov, 2009 to Aug, 2010 and realized with several steps. First, using spatial description method to evaluate central tendencies, degrees of dispersion and orientations of crime dataset; the aims of the second step were to explore the Nearest Neighbor Analysis and Ripley\´s "K" Statistic, and to compare the differences of the methods and to detemine whether any significant clusters exist; and then the hierarchical spatial cluster tools and space-time analysis were applied to represent and visualize the clusters of crime. The clusters can be discribed by hierarchical spatial cluster in different levels for specific requirement. There were many clusters distributed in the study area and needed to be payed attention to.
