Abstract :
A novel design of compact single complementary split ring resonator which is realized by loading a pair of narrow slots in the split of the ring is proposed. The equivalent circuit model of the structure is presented and the electrical parameters are also extracted. Furthermore, to reduce the size of the proposed structure, the slots are altered as meander-shaped with the total length fixed. The resonant frequency is reduced by 52% when the proposed SCSRR is applied. It is found that the simulation, circuit model and measurement results are consistent with each other, which demonstrates the correctness of the proposed structure.
