Abstract :
In this paper, a novel voltage-clamping snubber is presented and applied to multi-phase interleaved voltage-boosting converter. Whatever number of phases is, only one snubber is required except additional diodes required. This snubber clamps the voltage across the main switch to some value and pumps the energy stored in the snubber into the output so as to reduce the electromagnetic interference (EMI) noise as well as enhance the efficiency. Some simulation and experimental results are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed snubber.
