Abstract :
Computer security, school security policy and school computers usability should be important for all school computers and network resources users. But instead of implementing security policy, users often unintentionally compromise computer functionality and security out of ignorance or negligence. Since Windows is the default operating system in the majority of Croatian schools, students often have to use computers in the role of administrator. Bearing in mind the multitude of new technological solutions and continual changes which happen in this industry, this paper tries to provide an overview of software solutions for IT administrators of school computers, which are also applicable in libraries, colleges, universities and other public places which use computers with Windows OS.
