Abstract :
Debye series for plane-wave scattering by coated conducting spheres is derived. Being a rigorous solution of Maxwell equations, Debye series expands the Mie scattering coefficient into an infinity series, and clarifies the physical origin of scattering. For verification, our results are compared with that by Feko, and a good agreement is obtained. Debye series is employed to the research on effect of scattering process on RCS.
