Abstract :
A dry paper spacer impregnated with SF6 gas has suitable electric properties to permit a field assembly of a very large, energy conservative cable that may have future opportunities for obsoleting overhead lines which have negative environmental attributes. Similarly, extruded or solid dielectric cables can use the novel large conductor for low-losses. Typical test data and applications are offered for review
