Abstract :
Frequency selective surfaces (FSSs) are periodic surfaces that behave as filters for electromagnetic waves. The use of FSSs has attracted a great deal of attention in recent years. There are many researchers who are devoted to study the numerical approach to analyze the frequency response of FSSs. But the method to design a FSS structure is always a tough problem. In this paper, a cross-loop slot FSS is reviewed. It is investigated the influence of cross-loop slots FSS structure parameters, especially the cross length, the cross width, the slot width and the periodicity of the array, on frequency response using the electromagnetic simulation software HFSS. The conclusion will serve to design a cross-loop slot FSS.
