Abstract :
The Grove Mountains (Grove) in East Antarctica is recognized as the important meteorite concentration area and has the notable meteorite concentration mechanism, being the basis to assess the possible concentration region in Prince Charles Mountains (PCMs) of the Lambert Glacier, East Antarctica. The meteorite concentration mechanism requires understanding of the glacial flow, the local climate, and other factors that may be entirely unique to the individual sites, while subsets of these data may mislead the conclusion. This study reveals the analysis of the meteorite concentration mechanism in Grove, and the prediction in PCMs. The possible concentration area in PCMs is about 2,432 km2 mainly located in the blue ice and the moraine field.
