  • Abstract
Nano-scale antennas or build more informationdense data- storage devices. Optoelectronics could also have exotic applications such as the ability to couple an electronic signal to an individual molecule or the creation of biological circuits. In this paper the effective permittivity for a material with two types of inclusions having two different electric polarizabilities have been calculated. Possible applications would include direct processing of optical signals with nanoantennas, nano-circuit-filters, nano-resonators, and even nanoscaled negative-index optical structures.
