  • Abstract
This paper analyzed the efficiency of independently center-fed dipole array (ICDA) antenna. The best design was achieved with an array composed of two diamond antennas. It was demonstrated that the ICDA is capable of combining the bandwidths of both elements while maintaining linear phase throughout a broader bandwidth than the UWB requirements. Such characteristics make this antenna very appealing for ultra-short pulse and ultra-wideband applications
