Abstract :
A systematic and simple approach has been introduced for the analysis of perfectly matched double negative (DNG) metamaterials. The metamaterial realization is obtained by complex coordinate stretching, via the analytic continuation of Maxwell´s equations to a manifold in the complex space C3. The isotropic Veselago medium appears as a special case of the group of metamaterials defined via this complex coordinate transformation
