Abstract
The recently developed on-surface discretized boundary equation method for scattering by conducting cylinders was based on scattered field expressions in terms of true electric surface currents. In this paper, an alternative form of the method is derived by making use of virtual magnetic surface currents. Numerical results are presented to demonstrate its validity and applicability. A comparison between the above two formulations is also made and the differences in their numerical performances are discussed.
