Abstract :
This paper describes a new compact and wideband trapezoid monopole antenna having frequency band-notched characteristics. The paper presents the calculated and measured results of the trapezoid monopole antenna for UWB, which has the frequency range of the 5.1 to 5.5 GHz. It was confirmed that the proposed antenna is useful to avoid the interference between the wireless LAN such as the IEEE 802.11a and the ultra high-speed wireless communication
