Abstract :
An improved stability analysis technique of MMIC power amplifiers is presented. The technique is mainly based on the use of an auxiliary generator, by changing the terminal impedance, the oscillation of nonlinear circuit can be found in the unmatched condition. The method has been applied to two Ka-band monolithic power amplifiers, detecting their autonomous oscillations of DC regime for different terminal impedance, in good agreement with measurements.
