Abstract
Summary form only given. In the spring of 1994, a prototype 8VSB transmission subsystem designed and built by the HDTV Grand Alliance was submitted for field trials in Charlotte, North Carolina. Tests were conducted employing both VHF channel 6 and UHF channel 53, and data were collected from approximately 200 receiving locations in and around Charlotte. The paper reports on the results and analysis of the measured data
