Abstract
Constant-frequency and variable-frequency digital peak current control techniques are introduced in this paper. To overcome time delay problem of previous digital peak current (DPC) control in constant switch frequency, two new algorithms are proposed and studied. One is an improved digital peak current (IDPC) control algorithm in constant switch frequency and the other is a variable-frequency digital peak current (VF- DPC) control algorithm. The control laws of the proposed digital algorithms are discussed and compared. Small-signal analysis is also performed to study the effect of the time delay. Transient simulation results are given to further verify the analysis results.
