Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. As an OEM, wouldn´t it be nice to phone up your contract manufacturer to give them a new item to make for you and know that their ESD Control program would be able to handle it, without giving it a second thought? As a member of an Electronic Manufacturing Services company (contract manufacturer), wouldn??t it be great to know that your ESD Control program met the needs of all 15 of your OEM customers? As a supplier of ESD sensitive parts, wouldn??t it be nice to know that your EMS and OEM customers agreed with your test, handling and shipping procedures? As a supplier of ESD Control products and materials, wouldn´t it be great if all of the above agreed on material definitions and specifications? This is the intent and purpose of ANSI/ESD S 20.20 - Make ESD Control an easy and understandable process that saves everyone money. [Full paper was never published].
