Abstract :
The overall design of the remote steering antenna, which is foreseen for the Stellerator Wendelstein 7-X, is presented. Issues, which arise from the integration of a vacuum-valve and bending of the antenna are discussed along with possibilities to extend the steering angle and improve the performance.
