Abstract :
Land use/cover changes (LUCC) are the study key of global environmental change and eco-security. The paper uses GIS technique to detect the dynamics of land use and soil erosion, and the method of ecological service assessment to evaluate the eco-security status, and adopts a landscape approach to quantify changes of eco-security pattern in Changting County from 1988 to 2007. The results show that the ecological service values increased 2.60×108 Yuan between 1988 and 2000, but lost about 1.06×108 Yuan between 2000 and 2007. The proportion of eco-security level at stability, comparatively safe and safe decreased from 81.06% to 80.00%, which means the status of eco-security in study region has deteriorated. The change of patch pattern indexes indicated the downtrend of eco-security level in the study region.
