Abstract :
Integrated with spatial analysis, GIS can meet all kinds of requirements from decision-making support. PostgreSQL and PostGIS provide a favorable platform and powerful database solution for geospatial data analysis, and enhance the storage of spatial data management capabilities. PostgreSQL can provide dynamic and real-time spatial query and analysis. GIS spatial query and analysis are achieved in order to support the analysis of Shanghai public cultural facilities in spatial distribution patterns, equilibrium, et al. Buffer and sector analysis are imposed on pursuit of finding possible spatial distribution rules of these facilities taken Shanghai Park Hotel as a center. This paper further discusses how to manage and analyze geospatial data in PostgreSQL, and also reflects the flexibility, dynamism in using PostGIS as well as the advantage of using open source database to analyzing spatial data. This solution also helps to strengthen the flexibility of the spatial analysis methods in geographical information system.
