  • Abstract
    A modified method of characteristics has been presented to simulate the uniform lossy transmission lines. It is based on the proper approximation, and has simple recursive formation. Taking the appropriate time-step, the transient responses in the time-domain can be simply got through recursive operation. Because only the quantities at two ends of the transmission lines are concerned, the computation consumes less computer memory and less time. The recursive algorithm can be derived thoroughly from the telegrapher´s equations, so there doesn´t exist any stability problem. Numerical results show that the method can give high accuracy
