Abstract :
In this paper, we study the methods of constructing place-name ontology of Beijing based on attribute properties and spatial relation properties of place-name entities from the perspective of spatial cognition. Firstly, we locate place-name entities in the coordinate frame of Beijing city qualitatively and define the concept of place-name entities combining with the types of them. And then select the landmarks which play important parts in city positioning of Beijing to compose the reference system of landmarks and express the orientation relation by using four-orientation model. Finally, express the concept of place-name entity in the form of the triples and construct the place-name ontology of Beijing city by using the software protégé combined with OWL ontology language. On the basis of place-name ontology, we research the service interface frame of geographic information.
