Abstract :
Over the past few years rapid development of investigations in the THz area is observed. The research include spectral analysis of the THz signals to solve problem of materials identification as well. Results, published by various authors, concern one compound only, usually RDX but the problem of distinction of several compounds has received no attention yet. An examination of the identification systems is particularly important for the security systems to detect terrorist threat early enough. The THz range has been receiving particular attention recently for the reason of characteristic spectrum compounds peaks. Technological capabilities are not mature enough to analyze a wide THz range. It is however possible to develop narrow-band cascade lasers for this band. In this paper, a new concept of compounds identification, which bases on 14-subspectral definite (theoretical) THz detectors, is presented.
