Abstract :
For the reception of digital video via cable systems, Philips Semiconductors has developed a concept for demodulating 4, 16, 32, and 64 QAM signals as well as conventional multistandard terrestrial video signals. The basic functions are the tuner, IF front-end QAM demodulation and forward error correction. This concept interfaces easily with the Philips Semiconductors source decoding concept
