Abstract :
Scientific analysis of regional tourism resources is an important task of tourism planning. Its spatial distribution has determined the direction of tourism development to a certain extent, thus it is vital to reveal the spatial features of tourism resources by the GIS method, which possesses excellent spatial analysis function. This paper used NNI, mean center, standard distance, and standard deviational ellipse to analysis excellent tourism resources of Suzhou. It comes to the conclusions that :(1) the excellent resources shows clustering pattern totally; (2) Grade 5 human tourism resources exhibited the most clustering in the ancient city of Suzhou, rather than others; (3) this spatial structure both had advantages and disadvantages to Suzhou tourism development. This paper reveals the spatial clustering and spatial distribution of eminent tourism resources in Suzhou, in order to give good advice to the scientific planning and balanced development in future.
