Abstract :
Tailings are major hazard in the event of dam-break accident, which once happened would lead to significant casualties, property damage and environmental pollution in downstream area. Two-dimensional GIS constrained by the spatial expression and data structure cannot be effectively used to describe the topography of tailing dam, dam body, hydro-geological and other spatial data information, which also affected the results and prediction accuracy of the tailings dam-break geology hazard evaluation. In this paper, based on the spatial data model of tailings, the traditional flow equation has been improved for tailings dam-break estimation of the actual evolution process to obtain the largest range of submerged, depth of submerged, time of arrival, and different depth, velocity, flow direction and other disaster-related information during debris flow evolution processing. Then the paper performs the prediction analysis and evaluation of the geological disasters effects on tailings dam-break.
