Abstract :
Wayfinding is a kind of question we have to face when we going out every day. A great deal of research on path analysis algorithms have been performed and applied in wayfinding, however most algorithms on minimal path, optimal path are carried out from the mathematical point of view, neglecting the consideration of geographical knowledge. This paper tries to find the factors affecting people´s satisfaction with the optimal path between origin and destination on the basis of cognitive experiment. It is found that the importance of each factor is extraordinarily different in different circumstances. Research results can be applied to path analysis system development in the future. By introducing the customer´s own cognitive situation additionally, it is more efficient to find out the habits of people´s cognitive-based optimal path.
