Abstract :
In view of the characteristics of mobile platform, Service-oriented Architecture (SOA) is investigated to integrate ocean forecast and visualization using Web Service and Geographic Information System (GIS). Taking the example of ocean forecast system of East China Sea, the system presented in this paper can seamlessly integrate multi-source and heterogeneous data into Regional Ocean Model System (ROMS) by the input and output interfaces of the model. Meeting the business demand, the architecture can quickly and easily publish the real-time information on the mobile GIS platform, which facilitates ocean disaster prevention and relief for government decision-makers.
