Abstract :
This paper proposes new approaches for downsizing video in compressed domain. It is based on Motion-Compensated JPEG2000 (MCJ2K) video compression scheme. We have developed performance bounds on algorithms for transcoding the pre-coded MCJ2K stream. The tradeoffs between efficiency and reconstruction quality of the algorithms have been examined. The proposed algorithms produce encouraging results with tradeoff on the efficiency of the methods.
