Abstract :
A behavioral model of a 200W Doherty RF power amplifier has been created from digitally-modulated IQ signal information using an established nonlinear time series approach. The model operates in the envelope or digital signal domain and is implemented in Matlab so that it can be used directly in system-level simulators. The model has been validated using measured data. It has been used in a system-level design and simulation of digital pre-distorter systems, where the high fidelity of the model to the measured data and the rapid speed of simulation have enabled the system design
