Abstract :
The paper analyzed all the possible faults that may happen in stator of Pubugou 600 MW multi-branch hydro generator. And transient electrical characteristics of these faults are simulated by simplified simulation model, which is constructed based on dual damper in each pole principle. Based on simulation data, the protection effects of different protection theories under different stator branch grouping modes on the neutral side are analyzed, and Pubugou generator optimized main protection scheme is proposed, which ensure the safety working for the generator and provide the references for the related engineering application and research work
