Abstract :
In this work, we present a comparative analysis of gold nanoparticles of different triangular geometries with higher near-field enhancements. The proposed nanoparticles are a triangular disk with curved sides and a triangular disk with one corner formed by three tips. We used the software CST MWS® to solve numerically the electromagnetic scattering problem. We investigated resonant response, spatial distribution of electric near-field and resonant wavelength of these novel nanoparticles and the numerical results show that they possess near-field enhancements higher than the one possessed by conventional triangular nanoparticle.
